If the abdominal sagging is mild and skin elasticity is maintained, a certain degree of effect can be achieved through liposuction. However, in cases with a large amount of fat along with reduced skin elasticity and sagging, attempting to resolve it with liposuction will cause the skin to sag further and lead to cosmetically very poor results, so abdominoplasty is performed.

How is the surgery performed?

The extent of the surgery may vary depending on the amount of abdominal fat and skin laxity.

Post-operative scars are concealed within the panty line, reducing the burden of visible scarring.

Mini Abdominoplasty

Mainly performed on young postpartum women who have an accumulation of fatty tissue, relaxed abdominal muscles, and mild skin sagging.

The post-operative scar is only slightly longer than a C-section scar. By excising the skin below the belly button, sagging of the lower abdomen is improved.

Because no incision is made on the belly button, it leaves no scar, and slight laxity above the navel can also be improved.

Depending on the situation, it can be performed under local anesthesia or IV sedation, and same-day discharge is possible.

Full Abdominoplasty

For cases with severe obesity, severe muscle laxity, and significant loss of skin elasticity leading to extensively sagging belly fat, skin excision is performed extending to both hip bones.

The more severe the condition, the longer the excision range may be. During surgery, a new belly button is created,

and liposuction can be combined to enhance the surgical outcome.
