Prologue

TANG:GLE Buttock Lifting is a procedure that lifts sagging buttocks by pulling them with highly elastic threads, addressing the loss of volume from weight loss and skin sagging downward due to gravity.
Elasticum, used for the buttock lift, consists of a core of highly elastic silicone wrapped in
polyester threads, giving it strong elasticity. Unlike ordinary
threads, it enables natural movement like real ligaments and improves skin elasticity
within a few days after surgery.

Lifting sagging buttocks, which procedure is best?

When the buttocks are sagging and require lifting, the options broadly include lifting through incision and
lifting using threads.

Buttock lifting through incision

In cases of sagging buttocks, there is a method of removing the loose skin through an incision, but
because this leaves massive scarring, it is unreasonable to recommend it to Asians, especially Koreans.

Limitations of using threads other than Elasticum

Polypropylene (non-absorbable suture) has no elasticity.

Because the thread lacks elasticity, there is significant postoperative pain and discomfort.
The buttocks are a high-movement area, so the skin on the buttocks stretches, especially when sitting.
If the thread lacks elasticity, significant postoperative discomfort is inevitable.
Because the thread surface is smooth, it is difficult to expect adhesion with the surrounding tissue.
In the case of absorbable sutures, there is a limitation in the duration of results.

Therefore,

Elasticum Lifting (ELASTICUM)

It is a lifting thread where polyester wraps around silicone like a mesh, offering high elasticity that allows
free movement with muscle actions. Similar to human tissue, it integrates stably with tissues with minimal foreign body sensation,
restoring muscle movement and elasticity just like a real ligament. Over time, cells fill into the polyester
surrounding the elastomer, yielding stable results. In addition, as a non-absorbable
elastic thread, its effects last for more than 5 years, and it has the advantage of easy removal if inflammation or side effects occur.
